Smartseal Porcelain Tile Cleaner is a powerful cleaner that will quickly remove ingrained dirt, grime, algae, bird droppings and other surface contamination. Suitable for all types of porcelain tiling, it is most frequently used as a porcelian patio cleaner. It should be used in preparation prior to application of the Porcelain Tile Sealer to ensure the surface is totally clean.
This effective formula will easily break down and remove any surface build-up of grime, dirt, lichen and algae from external porcelain paving on patio. It will also quickly clean any internal porcelain surface around the home.
For best results, apply the Porcelain Tile Cleaner after diluting, at a ratio of 1:4 with clean water and then agitate with a stiff brush for 10-15 minutes. If using externally as a porcelian patio cleaner and especially in warmer weather conditions, add more product if it starts to dry out too quickly. Rinse off with a hose or if required use a pressure washer once you are satisfied the porcelain tiles are clean.
The porcelain tile cleaner has many uses, both internally and externally. It is frequently used on floors and walls in bathrooms, kitchens, hallways and other areas around the home. It is also used as a porcelain patio cleaner for cleaning stubborn organic surface contamination and ingrained grime which often collects within the textured surface on many types of exterior porcelain tiles.

PLEASE NOTE: The Porcelain Tile Cleaner will remove some of the residue from brush in compounds that are frequently used to lay porcelain tiles, especially on patios. However, it is mainly formulated to clean and remove ingrained dirt, grime, and most types of organic based staining. If you need to remove any staining from resin-based grouts and compounds, please use Smartseal Residue Remover.
Directions for use: Outdoors
- Dilute the concentrate at 1:4 with clean water
- Test for suitability in a small inconspicuous area
- Apply with sprayer or watering can
- Rinse off after 30 mins or for heavier contamination, pressure wash if necessary

- Apply with a mop, sponge or brush
- Allow to dwell for 15-30 mins and agitate surface with a stiff broom or brush
- Rinse off with clean water and clean up excess using a mop or sponge
Coverage: Up to 10m² per litre, depending on porosity and level of surface contamination.
Storage: Store in a cool dry area away from direct sunlight. Once opened use within 3 months.

A: Currently the porcelain cleaner is only available online, with delivery between 1-2 days
Q: Is this suitable for use around a grassed area, or will it kill the grass cleaning the patio outside?
A: When using any type of patio cleaner or porcelain cleaner it is advised to saturate surrounding areas of vegetation or grass with water before and after use. This will dilute any residue of the product to ensure no harm is done.
Q: I have a large patio how many sq meters would 5 ltr clean. And same question for the sealer
A: Both the porcelain cleaner and porcelain sealer would have coverage of between 10-20 m2 per litre. This would be dependent on type, age and porosity of the porcelain tile. Hope that helps.
