Preparation
Ensure the surface is thoroughly cleaned with a pressure washer or jet washer. Allow a minimum of 3 to 4 clear, dry days before sealing. Before coating, sweep area and remove any loose stones. Make sure product is thoroughly mixed with no sediment present.
Application
For best results apply 2 coats in temperatures above 12°C and below 22°C Only apply if no rain is forecast for at least 6 hours.
Tarmaseal can be applied via a medium pile roller or large paint brush. Make sure a minimum of 2 to 4 hours is left between coats.
Health & Safety
All work should be carried out with safety goggles, mask and gloves.
*Tarmaseal is primarily for rejuvenating the existing colour of tarmac and should not be used to change the existing colour.
Q: Can this product be tinned with white spirit for easy application. Have you got it in bigger drums ie 25 ltr drums and what is the Coverage per 5 ltr as i need to order enough to cover my driveway. Thank You. Michael Gorman.
A: The Tarmac Restorer in BLACK cannot be thinned down under any circumstances with white spirit, water or anything else. The largest drums we supply is 20L. Average coverage for a 20L drum is 40-60sq metres, depending on the porosity of the tarmac it being used on.
Q: Hello. I have just had 3 or 4 patches of new Tarmac laid on an old, faded driveway. Will your product adhere to new tarmac or should I wait for it to weather? Thank you
A: The Tarmac Restorer in BLACK should adhere to the new tarmac you have had laid. Samples are available to test.
Q: Will this cover up white concrete residue staining as there is wuite alot on the drive due to having paving done at the back
A: The BLACK tarmac restorer should cover light residues of concrete that may be spoling the appearance of the tarmac surface.
