Method of Application: Brush or Roller
Typical Coverage: 8-10 sq metre per litre. 2 coat application.
Drying Time: Touch Dry in 2-3 hours. can re-coat after 16-24 hours (Ensure adequate ventilation during the drying time). Drying time will increase if applied at lower temperatures.
Storage: Store in the sealed container, in temperatures between 5°C and 25°C . Protect from frost and direct sunlight
Shelf Life: 12 months in unopened packaging
PREPARATION:
Scrape off any existing wallpaper or if applying to a painted wall, sand off any loose or flaking paint.
Remove and mould or mildew with Mould & Mildew Remover. Otherwise, use white spirit with a cloth to wipe and clean the wall.
Wear a suitable ventilation mask if dry sanding to try and avoid inhalation of any dust.
APPLICATION:
Stir well prior to use.
Use a roller or brush to apply to the area where damp is an issue. If it is only a small damp patch that need painting, paint at least 30-40cm around the affected area so the damp will not spread to other parts of the surface.
Two coats are recommended. The second coat can be applied after 16-24 hours under standard interior drying temperatures.
Brushes or rollers can be cleaned afterwards with warm soapy water.
Q: May I know if I can use the Damp Proofing Paint on screeding wall, please.
A: Thanks for the question. That should be fine - we would recommend a test area to ensure the density allows it to adhere.
Q: Hello. If I use this on concrete damp exterior wall. What type of colour paint can I use on top? I want to paint it green but need something damp proof on it first. Thanks.
A: You should be able to paint over the Damp-Proof Paint with most standard emulsion paints once dry.
Q: Can this be applied with a spray gun.
A: Thanks for the question. It would need to be an airless sprayer to ensure it goes through the sprayer correctly.
