Product Description

Liquid Roof Repair is a multi-purpose fibre reinforced compound for the rapid repair and waterproofing of leaks on roof and other external hard surfaces.

Liquid Roof Repair has been specially formulated to give instant waterproofing and protection for leaking roofs. If necessary, this easy to use product can even be even be applied in damp or wet conditions. It is very versatile and can be used to repair areas on a roof that are leaking or completely waterproof the whole roof area. The ready to use formula can be applied straight from the tin. It is frequently purchased and used by both amateur DIY'ers and professional tradesmen. Liquid Roof Repair is a fibre reinforced, single pack elastomeric coating that provides great flexibility and excellent durability. It also provides enhanced adhesion to most types of roofing material that have been used past and present.

Areas of Use:

Liquid Roof Repair is suitable for external use only. It is specially formulated for use on flat roofs, gutters, lead flashing, metal, slate, asbestos, concrete, asphalt, and roofing felt.

Suitable Substrates for Application:

Liquid Roof Repair can be used on most types of roofing materials but it is not to be used on EPDM as the solvents contained in the product may damage the substrate. We would also not advise using on fresh bitumen or tar based surfaces. We would always advise carrying out a test area first to determine suitability. Any surface the Liquid Roof Repair is being applied to should ideally be completely clean and dry. Any areas that have mould, lichen, moss or algae growth should be treated with Green Clear or Green Clear Pro first. This will prevent any spores germinating underneath the coating after it has cured. If this is not carried out, the long term adhesion of the Liquid Roof Repair could be compromised and it may start to peel off. If necessary, Liquid Roof Repair can be applied to a wet substrate but any water pooling on the surface should be wiped away or mopped up prior to application.

Product Sizes:

Liquid Roof Repair is available in 1 litre or 5 litre tins

Colours:

Liquid Roof Repair is currently only available in Black.

PREPARATION
Clean all areas first to ensure any dirt, grease or loose material is removed. Pre-treat any mould, algae or lichen growth with Green Clear. Repair any large cracks, holes or blisters on the surface being prepared.

APPLICATION
In most cases 1 coat is sufficient. Very porous surfaces such as new roofing felts (or similar) may need two coats. Allow newer surfaces to weather for 6-9 months prior to application. Apply by brush (small areas only), trowel, soft broom or squeegee. Ensure that all problem areas are fully coated to provide the best possible protection against future water ingress. DO NOT spread too thickly or thin down. Avoid walking on coated areas until fully cured (Approx 2-3 days). Clean application tools with white spirit.
