Porcelain Sealer - One Coat - Stain & Scratch Resistant
Easy application, 100% breathable. Advanced, Nano-coating sealer. Safe, low-odour formula. Coverage: 10 - 20 m²/litre

Smartseal Porcelain Sealer is a hard wearing, breathable, protective coating for modern internal & external porcelain tiles. The porcelain tile sealer can also be used on ceramic wall and floor tiles. Furthermore, it helps to prevent general soiling & surface staining. Although this is not a cosmetic product, it does act as a colour enhancer and leaves a subtle wet look sheen once dry. However, its main purpose is to make cleaning and maintenance easier.
Smartseal Porcelain Sealer is a ready to use, easy to apply, quick-drying formulation that gives additional protection oil and water-based stains whilst enhancing the natural colours of the tiles. Once applied the porcelain tiles sealer will make cleaning and maintenance of porcelain surfaces much easier. WE DO NOT RECOMMENDED USING ON HIGHLY POLISHED SURFACES.
FEATURES
- Suitable for use on porcelain and ceramic tiles
- Strictly a single-coat application
- Leaves a subtle wet look sheen once dry
- Enhances the colours of the tiling
- Can be used externally on patios
- Also for use on walls and floors internally
- Ultra-durable sealer for long term protection
Formula is ready to use, quick drying and easy to apply.
Average coverage: 10 - 20m² per litre, dependant on surface texture and porosity.
Application temperature range: 10° to 23°C
Directions for Use:
Always apply to a test area or spare tile first.
Only apply to completely dry and clean surfaces.
**If applied to a surface where a "sweep-in" pointing compound has been used within the last 6 months, the porcelain must be fully cleaned with Smartseal Residue Remover prior to sealant application.**
Apply a single thin, consistent coat, with a microfibre cloth, microfibre flat mop or paint pad. Avoid application marks and excess pooling of sealer.
Please note:
This formulation is strictly a single coat application, because it is a high active micro coating that bonds very strongly to the impervious porcelain.
It is not a cosmetic product. Although it does make the treated surfaces look more attractive, its main purpose is to aid easier cleaning and maintenance.
Applying more than one coat to achieve the "desired appearance" will almost definitely result in application issues and product failure.
Given the above, it is important the exact application instructions are followed.
- Allow a minimum of 2 hours drying time before walking on. The sealer will be fully-cured and attain full water-resistance after 24 hours.
- If using externally, do not apply if rain is forecast within 8 hours.
- Average coverage 10-20m² per litre. Coverage will vary depending on surface texture and porosity.
- Store in cool, dry conditions out of direct sunlight in original container only. USE WITHIN 6 MONTHS OF PURCHASE & WITHIN 3 MONTHS ONCE OPENED.
Q: Hi I am looking for a sealant to seal a radon water feature looks like natural stone can you recommend any of your Products suitable for this job Thank you George’s
A: If the water feature is made of natural stone, then any of the natural stone sealers on our website should be suitable. If it is primarily just to seal the water feature and not change its appearance, I would suggest the DRY finish natural stone sealer may be the most suitable.
Q: Hi, We have sanded joints between some porcelain and concrete tiles, I was hoping to use this to seal both together including the joints. But I am worried about a paint pad collecting and spreading the sand creating an awful permanent mess. Can I apply this product with a garden pressure sprayer so the sand doesn't get disturbed? If no, how permanent is the solution while wet (ie if sand gets mixed in could I quickly jet-wash the whole thing away before it drys)? Finally, if the seconds answer is also no is there a different more suitable protection/sealing product I should be using? Many Thanks.
A: We do not recommend using a pressure sprayer to apply the porcelain sealer. Always apply to a test area or spare tile first and only apply to completely dry and clean surfaces. **If applied to a surface where a "sweep-in" pointing compound has been used within the last 6 months, the porcelain must be fully cleaned with Residue Remover prior to application.** Apply a single thin, consistent coat, with a microfibre cloth, microfibre flat mop or paint pad. Q: Can You use this outdoors .
A: The porcelain sealer can be used indoors or outdorrs on porcelain paving.
