Used the sealer on limestone patio. It soaked up much more than expected so be sure to order enough. I recon about 30% more. But it seems to have done a good job at sealing the stone as i can see water beading off nicely.
My limestone patio slabs seemed to attract grease spots like a magnet. After some research I opted for Smartseals Matt finish sealer and have been delighted with the result. Easily sprayed on and so far has kept my patio looking great. The only hiccup I had was that I calculated the amount required but didnt have quite enough for 2 full coats and and contemplating whether to buy another 5 litres
Ordering of sealer was a piece of cake and delivery was very quick. Haven't had time to use it yet but will update this post once I've sealed my patio with it.

Q: Hi looking for a product to seal lime reconstituted window villa- is this product suitable
A: The Limestone Sealer Dry will be suitable for your surface and adhere correctly.
Q: I have seen this product recommended for sealing a new limestone fireplace. Is it guaranteed to not change the colour/ appearance of the stone. Many thanks
A: The Limestone Sealer Dry Finish is an invisible finish that won't change the colour of the stone once it's fully cured.
Q: Hi, we had our limestone floor renovated in August by a specialist company. They used Liberon sealant and its now crumbling. I contacted Liberon and they said its unsuitable for our Purbeck limestone floor. Can we now use your limestone sealant on top of what's been done already? Many thanks
A: There would be a risk that your previous sealer may repel the Limestone Sealer Dry finish from adhering. We provide samples of the sealer, so it may be worth doing a test to ensure it takes to the surface.
PREPARATION: Prior to application of limestone sealer ensure surfaces to be sealed are clean, dry and free from contamination. If algae or stains are present pre treat prior to cleaning with a appropriate cleaning product. If required, fully clean off using pressure washer and leave to dry thoroughly for at least 3 days.
Always test product on-site, in an inconspicuous area, to ensure you fully are satisfied with the final appearance/ colour of the surface.
**If being applied to a recently laid external Limestone patio or path, where a "sweep-in" pointing compound was used, as a precautionary measure we advise the natural stone must be fully cleaned with Smartseal Residue Remover prior to sealant application.**** Please get in touch for further advice.
APPLICATION: Shake container well before use. A suitable pressure sprayer, roller, sponge or brush is recommended taking care to avoid any pooling. Application on all substrates should be to full saturation and on vertical surfaces commence at the bottom and work upwards. For internal surfaces application by a suitable cloth is appropriate. Do not apply in damp conditions or at temperatures below 13-23°C.
Applying one coat to saturation is normally sufficient. For best results, apply one coat to saturation and once touch dry, a 2nd lighter coat can be applied ('wet on wet' finish). If over application does occur on either coats, excess sealer can be removed with a dry roller or sponge. Ensure this is done within 45 minutes.
All equipment should be cleaned with water immediately after use.
SHELF LIFE: Store away from direct sunlight and sources of heat. Protect from frost.
12 months shelf life (in original sealed container). Once opened use within 3 months.
