Damp problems can easily be rectified with Climashield Liquid DPM – the liquid damp roof membrane is the quickest way to block rising damp, moisture issues and water ingress in walls and floors. Specifically formulated for renovation projects around the home as well as larger commercial applications, this easy-to-apply liquid damp proof membrane creates a clean, dry base for subsequent building work to be carried out. It is best utilised under plaster or renders, for balcony repairs or as a concrete surface coating.
The liquid damp proof membrane provides a seamless, waterproof, radon barrier under plaster or renders. It can also be applied to pond linings to act as a waterproof barrier, and will help to protect against water ingress in areas with constant water contact, such as under tiles in bathrooms and kitchens, as well as food processing areas and balconies.
Climashield Liquid DPM can be used on concrete floors, brick walls, wooden surfaces, retaining structures and foundations, to quickly resolve damp related issues. Once fully cured, it should be covered with a screed, plaster, floor or wall tiles, wallpaper, wooden, laminate or resin flooring. It has not been formulated to be left as a finished surface.

Liquid DPM for Floors
Climashield Liquid DPM is a versatile and cost effective damp proofing solution for floors. It can quickly be applied by roller or brush, above and below floor screeds to provide an elastic damp proof membrane for floors. If applied on top of screed, it would need an additional covering such as laminate, tiles, vinyl, wood or carpeting to protect it from surface damage. Climashield Liquid DPM can also be applied to concrete floors that are below surface screeds.
Liquid DPM for Walls
Climashield Liquid DPM is a liquid applied damp proof membrane that used on walls under a render to create a flexible waterproof barrier. Once fully cured, the waterproof membrane provides lasting protection against problems associated with penetrating damp.

For application to walls, please note that Climashield Liquid DPM is only suitable for low-level wall applications, where it can be applied from the floor up to the damp-proof course (DPC). This height is usually less than 1 metre above the actual floor level. We do not generally recommend applying the liquid damp proof membrane above this height.
SURFACE PREPARATION
Ensure all surfaces are clean, sound, free of dust, oil, dirt and debris. Any previous coatings should be removed prior to application. Any existing existing defects should also be repaired. A primer is not generally required, but the surface can be very slightly dampened to improve adhesion of the waterproofing paint.
APPLICATION & COVERAGE
Always do a test patch first to determine suitability and to ensure the product meets expectations. DO NOT PROCEED if the test patch raises cause for concern, relating to the finish, drying time, colour or anything else.
Climashield Liquid DPM can be applied by brush, roller, or for larger areas, an airless sprayer can also be used. Apply in temperatures between 6°C & 35°C. Brushes can be cleaned in warm soapy water. Climashield Liquid DPM is ready to use straight from the container.
Coverage is approx. 4m2 in a 2 coat application with 2-3 hours in-between coats. Two coats of the waterprrofing paint applied at right angles to each other is all that is required.

SHELF LIFE & STORAGE
Climashield Liquid DPM has a shelf life of 12-18 months unopened from the date of manufacture, subject to correct storage conditions. Store upright in original sealed packaging in a cool dry place, away from heat or direct sunlight.
We provide a national delivery service for our block paving sealer, pattern imprinted concrete sealer, roof coatings and tarmac restorer on a standard 2 - 4 working day basis. Dependent on weight, this is normally done by pallet or parcel carrier.
