Smartseal Heavy Duty Floor Paint is formulated using a special blend of high quality thermo-acrylic and polyurethane resins. This creates a hard wearing, heavy duty elastomeric coating or paint for lasting protection to many high-trafficked areas in the residential and commercial sector. Often used as a deck paint and garage floor paint, the Heavy Duty Floor Paint provides a tough, durable, long lasting protective coating that also has an anti-slip finish. However, although the floor paint will help, it is not possible to guarantee a totally non-slip surface after application
Please note: the Heavy Duty Floor Paint should not be used to paint Latex screeds as they are normally covered with tiles, wooden flooring or carpet tiles and should not be painted.

Areas of Use:
The heavy duty floor paint provides excellent slip resistance and is suitable for use in high trafficked areas, such as stairs, garage floors, pedestrian walkways, industrial work areas and car parks. Also frequently used as a garage floor paint, it is very easy to clean and maintain. Although, the heavy duty tile floor paint is mostly used internally, it also has good UV resistant properties, so can also be used for external applications as well. Works well and offers great durability as a garage floor paint, deck paint or concrete floor paint.

Surface Preparation and Condition:
Prior to application, the surface should be clean, dry, stable, dust free, with no dirt, grease and oil present. Any old paint coating previously applied should be removed completely before applying. If the floor is power-floated or has an existing coating please call our technical team on 01268 722500 for advice before starting.
PLEASE NOTE: New concrete floors should only be painted after 6-8 weeks
Q: Hi all, Is there any guidance about application temperature for floor paint? Looking to paint garage floor but aware its low ambient temperature this time of year.
A: The application Temperature should be between 5°C-25°C. It could be applied at a lower temperature than 5°C but the drying time will increase.
Q: Hello there, I would like to use this product on my concrete garage floor but I have 3 enquiries. 1st: Can this product to fill the small cracks which have been appeared on my concrete floor? 2nd: Do I need to apply any additional waterproof sealant on top of this product? 3rd Is the finish of this product matt or gloss?
A: The Heavy Duty Floor Paint may help to fill and disguise hairline cracks in the surface, but for bigger cracks it is best to try and repair them first. You do not need to apply anything on top for waterproofing. The Heavy Duty Floor Paint has what we would regards as a matt finish
Q: I have a garage floor which has recently had self levelling compound applied, can I paint it?
A: You can use the Heavy Duty Floor Paint to paint the garage floor that has a self levelling compound on it.
