Smartseal block paving sealant is designed to penetrate the paved surface and provide a clear and UV stable material.

PURPOSE:  The application of Smartseal block paving sealant will seal and waterproof block paving. The sealant will also transform and enrich the appearance of the paving and provide protection from any contaminants. This will minimise maintenance and make it easier. The block paving sealant will also solidify the jointing sand and reduce erosion.

  • Reduces sand loss from joints
  • Stain resistant
  • Protects paving fading from UV light
  • Inhibits the growth of algae moss and weeds
  • Enriches natural colouring of the block paving
  • Easy to maintain
  • 100% inter coat adhesion

Smartseal Premium block paving sealant is best applied by a roller or a sprayer. A two coat process is recommended at a ratio of 2.5m2 per litre first coat and 3.5 m2 per litre second coat. Smartseal block paving sealant will generally be dry within 2 hours at 20°C.  Although it can be walked on after this period, it should not be driven on for a minimum of 24 hours at 20°C.

PLEASE NOTE: These times will increase or be reduced dependent on ambient temperature.

Smartseal block paving sealants will protect the paving for many years to come, but a top up coat of block paving sealant can be applied every few years for optimum results.
